Job Responsibilities • To deal with the buyers independently for all aspects of marketing and merchandising activities including marketing, sourcing, price quoting, negotiating, collecting orders, shipment etc. • Cost calculation & price negotiation with buyer. Follow up with buyer for the feedback of the price, sample & capacity/space booking. • Keep close liaison with the buyer for all the merchandising activities like order booking, processing, order follow up & export planning etc. • Make T&A (Time & Action) plan & ensuring cross check with IE & planning department to ensure on time shipment. • To coordinate daily operational activities in pre-production, sample development, costing and consumption of orders. • Prepare all kind of production samples such as PP sample, size set sample, shipment sample before dead line of buyer requirement. • Arrange all submissions &approvals on time to buyer. Checking the sample quality before sending to buying house. • To coordinate with all units (Knitting, Dyeing, Quality, Sampling, RMG etc.) on productivity and quality issues. • Advice factory/production/quality team on fabric, production, quality etc. related technical issues. • Responsible for processing orders independently from development to shipment, Follow up the IE & Planning/Production/Commercial team to ensure shipment moves on time. • Review marketing & Merchandising team, quality teams, shipping team daily and weekly with monitoring progress and report any foreseen delays to customer. • Communicate with client/customer on a regular basis to provide up-to-date info with regard to the status of production and shipment of garments. • Coordinate with concerned departments/officials in the whole process (i.e., development to the approval of line review, fit pre-production, shipment samples, etc.) and ensure maintenance of records accordingly. • Check availability and lead times of various yarns, fabric and accessories with suppliers as required. • Ensure that production plan is prepared and maintained by the factory to meet the delivery deadlines. • Ensure that day to day review is made on feedback received from team members on various issues including production status and corrective actions are taken in time. • To give monthly report on sales and marketing and attend meetings of marketing and management team. .
Educational Requirements • BBA/ MBA/ Masters from any reputed university. • B.Sc in Textile Engineering OR Apparel Manufacturing OR Professional Degree in Apparel Merchandising will be given preference from BUFT, SANTO MARIAM, BUTEX OR any reputed institute/ University will get preference. • Skills Required: Garment Marketing, Merchandising.
Additional Requirements Age at least 35 to 40 years. Must have practical experience in handling H&M buyer. Should have strong communication skill (both written and spoken) in English. Good Interpersonal and problem solving skills. Strong people management skill-fairness and ability to motivate and manage the team. .
