Position: Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Day to Day follow-up of the project site works and reporting.
• Understanding of Civil functions e.g. Civil working drawing, Site preparation, Ground leveling, soil testing, formwork, concrete foundation, building construction, special knowledge about finishing work and handling, implementing large construction projects, etc.
• Supervise & execute construction of Bridge, Road, Drain, Building Construction, Heavy Construction Equipment, & every work related to civil engineering.
• Making an estimation of materials according to drawing & design. Detail estimation as well as Preparation of BOQ according to drawing & design.
• To maintain and motivate personnel towards sites to discipline in respect of smooth management and make labor pro-active.
• To ensure smooth functioning of respect of site/project's work in progress.
• To supervise and close monitor day to days construction work by ensuring overall sites /projects safety & security.
• To monitor projects utilities consumption and arrangement of payment with coordinating head office management.
• To produce and upkeep the Daily, Weekly, Monthly progress report as per company's policy.
• Time to time meeting and reporting with project personnel's.
• Coordinate with the billing department.
• Any other activities as and when required by the management.

Education Requirements:

B.Sc in Civil Engineering from any reputed university.

Additional Qualification:

• Age 35 to 45 years
• Age may be relaxed for highly experienced candidate.
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Bridge, Road, Drain, Civil Construction, Building Construction, Heavy Construction Equipment, & every work related to civil engineering.
• Should have Field level Experience in Project Construction Site.
• Minimum 10 - 15 year(s) in experience is essential in the field of Civil Project Execution, Project Monitoring, handling EPC Contractor, Quality Assurance & EHS Management Experience on Civil Architecture Execution of Civil & Steel Structures, Civil Infrastructure, Foundations, Buildings and Marine installations, Certification of EPC Billing (civil) for Power Plants (including jetty and breakwaters / Process Industry / Heavy Industry.
• Sound knowledge on civil design and Bangladesh National Building Code.
• Record of successful completion of civil construction project.
• Should have computer skill on Microsoft Office, AutoCAD etc.
• Should have negotiation skill with the officials of different organization.
• Through knowledge about the tender procedure of govt. /semi govt. civil construction project.
• Must have knowledge for submission of civil construction tender through E-tendering method.
• Work with PWD, LGED, RHD and MES may be given preference.
• Experience of working with foreign construction company and consultant may be considered as added advantage.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, good in MS Office (MS word, Excel and power point) to conduct daily management and communication of the projects;
• Ability to work independently and diligently with good analytical skills;
• Candidate must work in any location in Bangladesh as decided by the management.
