Position: Manager - Finance & Accounts

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement of organization's accounts & financial goals and providing strategic direction to ensure the goals.
  • Assure that accounting records are prepared and maintained in accordance with the company's accounting policies, chart of accounts and related accounting principles and practices.
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of Budgets, Financial Reports and Financial Trends in order to assist the management team for performing their responsibilities.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including Board of Revenue (NBR), Joint Stock Company (JSC), Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax, Insurance's premiums etc.
  • Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Board's Audit Committee and the external auditors as necessary.
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial issues.
  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Reconcile bank and investment accounts.
  • Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting.
  • Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation.
  • Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate.
  • Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and prepare the annual budget.
  • Ensure that accurate and timely financial statements are prepared in accordance with contract agreements with funding sources.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of individual projects.
  • Monitor risk management policies and procedures to ensure that program and organizational risks are minimized.
  • Advise the organization's leadership on appropriate insurance coverage for the organization and the Board of Directors.
  • Maximize income where possible and appropriate.
  • Negotiate with Bank for lines of credit or other financial services as required and appropriate.
  • Check Bill, Voucher, Various report such as Stock, Sales, Export, Expenses, Production, Import, Purchase, Time loan adjust, Salary sheet, Material consumption etc.
  • To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority as and when required.

Education Requirements:

  • Master of Commerce (MCom)/Master of Business Studies (MBS)/Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounts or Finance.
  • Preferred Professional Certification: CA (C.C.), ICMAB.

Additional Qualification:

  • Age at most 45 years
  • Only males are allowed to apply
  • Must have had at least 10 to 15 years of working experience in a Pharmaceutical Company within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, preferably working in the position of a Manager/Deputy Manager, Finance & Accounts.
  • Good communication skill both in English and Bangla.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions.
  • vast knowledge of Tax (Personal and Company), VAT, Company Law, Business Law and Commercial law.
  • Conversant in SAP.
  • Proficient in Tally Software & MS Office package especially in MS Excel.
  • Recently we are going to install ERP software soon. So having experience working with ERP will be treated one stop ahead.
