Supervise and direct quality assurance technicians, who are responsible for enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices and other quality related policies in order to meet product quality standards.
Establish priorities and ensure maximum usage of assigned resources to meet the production schedule.
Assist in investigating and correcting quality related issues (including customer complaints) through collaboration with other departments.
Make proactive recommendations and offering/presenting solutions to the Quality Systems to improve quality of the products and work efficiency of the technicians.
Direct inspection/audit activities commensurate to production schedules.
Develop monthly reports showing inspection and audit performance and improvement opportunities. Also, evaluate and recommend alternative inspection procedures for continuous improvement.
Stay up-to-date on latest technology for highest quality, ensure effective follow up, coordination, liaison between merchandisers and factories.
Assigning required training of new workers to qualified workers. Ensure technicians are appropriately trained on the latest product standards.
Ensure good performance by quality assurance technicians/auditors by mentoring, training, setting expectations, providing accountability, and performing evaluations.
Education Requirements:
Masters degree in any discipline
Skills Required: communnication, Good command of both verbal and written English
Additional Qualification:
At least 5 (five) years of work experience as quality assurance technician in apparel industry and at least 2 (two) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
Should have experience in serving at reputed Buying House/Factory.
Must have appropriate knowledge on quality of Knit, Woven, Sweater and Home Tex apparels.
Must have excellent communication skill on both spoken and written English.
Capable of leading a team of QCs.
Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office applications) and computer-based applications.
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs, ability to lead others through change.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and make effective decisions.
A good knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices and testing methods for quality assurance of apparel products.
