Job Description of Sr. Officer, Accounts


Job Title: Sr. Officer, Accounts

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • We are looking for interested candidates as Sr. Accounts Officer for a reputed garments factory who has initiative, experience in following sector, dive and self-motivation to take challenge to deliver high quality result.

  • Preparing all necessary books of accounts for respective business units as assigned such as (accounts, ledger, cash book, bank book, suppliers’ ledger, customers’ ledger, fixed asset register, advances, IOU ledger, cheque registers, etc.).

  • Prepare & check all kind of vouchers & petty cash and others. Check and verify all kinds of bill for ensuring the accurate accounting transaction.

  • Prepare & Check bank reconciliation with bank statement on regular basis.

  • Prepare monthly, half yearly and yearly accounts as per International Accounting Standards with due time.

  • Ensure accuracy of vendor payment, maintaining accounts receivable, payable etc.

  • Maintain & preserve properly all kinds of bill & Voucher, supporting documents, record of financial transaction for internal auditing, external auditing and statutory regulatory purpose.

  • Ensure compliance of Tax, VAT and Customs Act and due diligence.

  • Must be experienced in accounting software Tally, ERP etc.

  • Practical Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Email Correspondence & Tally ERP Software.

  • Bank payment advice sheet preparation.

  • Bill Approval Sheet Making.

  • Salary sheet reconciliation & disbursement through cash, Bkash & bank with Employee's Salary advance reconciliation.

  • Inter-company balance and transactions reconciliation.

  • Monthly Receipt & Payment report making.

  • Perform other tasks assigned by the management.

  • Have capacity to work under pressure.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting.

  • CA CC/ ICMA Partly qualified and candidate will be preferred.

Experience

  • At least 8 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Audit Firms /Tax Consultant

Additional Requirements

  • Age 30 to 40 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): RMG Sector, Group of Companies.

  • Have analytical skill.

  • Have excellent knowledge on computer.

  • Have excellent knowledge on Accounting/ERP software.

  • Should have excellent communication skills both in Bengali and English.

Location/Working Conditions:

Mention company location and may require occasional overtime or weekend work during peak periods.
