Job Title: GM (Marketing & Merchandising)
Responsibilities/Duties:
As the GM of Marketing & Merchandising, would involve overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of all marketing and merchandising activities at the factory. This would require you to have a deep understanding of the factory's products, customers, and competition, as well as the ability to lead and motivate a team of marketing and merchandising professionals.
Developing and implementing the marketing and merchandising strategy for the factory to maximize sales and profitability.
Conducting market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends, and using this information to develop marketing and merchandising plans that meet those needs.
Developing and managing the factory's product portfolio, including selection, pricing, and promotion of products.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with key customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Developing and managing the marketing and merchandising budget, ensuring that resources are used effectively and efficiently.
Analyzing sales data to identify trends and opportunities, and making recommendations for improvements and changes to the marketing and merchandising strategy.
Coordinating with other departments, such as production and quality control, to ensure that products meet customer needs and expectations.
Providing leadership and direction to the marketing and merchandising team, ensuring that they are motivated, engaged, and productive.
Skill in costing, marketing planning, and having technical knowledge of products.
Applicant should have experience in handling large buyers in the garment industry. This includes managing relationships with buyers, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring the timely delivery of products.
Applicant should have strong leadership skills to manage a team of marketing and merchandising professionals. This includes setting goals, providing feedback, and coaching team members to improve performance.
Applicant should have strong networking skills to build relationships with new buyers in the garment industry.
Supervise the team on proper follow up for on-time shipment from order inquiry to shipment, Inventory and Supply chain planning and ensure the merchandisers are updating the order status, as well as to the customers.
Co-ordinates with production team in order to deliver on time shipment.
Closely monitor the activities of team members and evaluate their performance periodically.
Any other responsibilities assigned by the management.
Requirements
Education
Masters degree in any discipline.
Bangladesh University of Textiles, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology students will get preference
