Take full responsibility for maintaining books of account of Project Office. Establish prudent book keeping and accounting system that adhere to the need of a sound recording and reflection of financial transactions. Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with approved policies and procedures. Prepare periodical financial statements in conformity with the requirement of the Management, Donor, and other relevant stakeholders. Maintain Chart of Accounts as per guideline of the Head office & donor. Enter daily transactions into TALLY or any other accounting software used by the Organization for maintaining accounts. Make physical verification of cash and reconcile with the cash book. Ensure timely settlement of bills. Prepare Staff Monthly Payroll. Assist staff Income Tax computations and returns. Preserve accounts documents in an orderly manner and ensure safe guard of all those documents. Prepare budget of the Project and cash flow. Maintain Fixed Assets Register. Maintain Store Register. Checking bills, vouchers and ensure adherence to the financial controls, rules and procedures before making payments/disbursements and Prepare journal entries. Post journal entries to general ledger. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts. Carry out frequent cash verification and reconcile with cash book. Checking bills, vouchers and ensure adherence to the financial controls, rules and procedures before making payments/disbursements. Prepare bank reconciliation statement. Prepare necessary documents for banking transactions Collect monthly financial statement from the projects unit office and make consolidate report for the management/donor. Prepare periodical financial statements (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly). Prepare monthly budget variance report. Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met. Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by the supervisor/Management.
Master of Commerce (MCom) in finance and Accounts
